Soulless City

I never made it as a big man

Wearing suits, attending soirees just like you do

My art can be so bland

But that’s what helps me deal with what life puts me through

Wanting more just like you do

Pushing through just like we all do

Its not like me to want souly

I was hiding from my hurtful story

This time that you’re wasting

You felt this too or am I just mistaken

I’ve been tough

I’ve been drowned

Through the years in a heartless city

This lost souls search through tears

Yet they could never find this

Couldn’t find this

I can’t say that I didn’t see this

I brushed my sleeve and moved right too you

You must have been so glad

Cause when the fear struck you pushed away, didn’t you

Wanting more just like you do
